Day of Love

Today, marks two days after my most dreaded date of the calender, where my favourite colour is abused all over the world and I can no longer tell someone, "I love you" without looking like am insinuating something. Well, at least for the next 364 days I do not have to worry about this strange phenomenon that is the day of love. However, to all you valentine fans and to the ones who did celebrate the day, congratulations, may you live to celebrate many more.

Speaking about the day of love, funny how the we as Christians rarely celebrate our own day of love, when the greatest act of love was performed. yea, that's right, our own valentine with Christ. Many love to call it Good Friday, the day when the ultimate expression of love was conjured unto the world. John 15:13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. In the quest to redeem us  from our own death, even when it was not plain to us how dead in sin we were in. Christ still died for us. He gave His all even when we did not know.

What do we consider to be of greatest value to us? For many, it would be their work, education (for students), our investments and the like. For me it would be my time. What do you consider to be your life? What is of great asset to you? Are you ready to lay down your greatest asset in accordance to God's love? Galatians 6
2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. 3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.

The greatest gift you can to give to someone is your life. Buy him or her a present but if you really love that person, be ready to sacrifice your life for that friend. Happy day to you all. Baraka
